Monday's Novel Talk (71)

Hey Chroniclers! You ever woke up early but for some reason went back to bed and woke up at a later time and felt groggy and just confused and heavy? That's how I feel right now and I've been staring at the screen for five minutes practically sleeping. But, it's July! Already! I thought it was like June 30th still but nope, it's July. My birthday is coming up and I leave to Portugal at the end of the month. I'm a bit nervous. But, let's talk books though.

 Since last time I posted this up, I finished reading Magic Steps by Tamora Pierce and I loved every bit of it. I kind of forgot the ending since the last time I read it years ago so it was a great surprise for me. Tamora Pierce is seriously a great author and I just hope she keeps writing more.

I also finished reading Street Magic by Tamora Pierce which is the second book in The Circle Opens Quartet. I was recognizing some parts of the book and then I realized I didn't remember the rest. So, when I went to check my old copy I found a bookmark halfway through the book and that's when I knew I never finished it so that was great. It was like reading it for the first time and I loved it.

I'm currently reading the third book in the Quartet, Cold Fire by Tamora Pierce and I'm currently on page 144 of 355. I fear that I've hit a bit of a reading slump which is my first one. I just feel blah with reading and it's taking me forever to get through these books. I just hope I can finish it quickly because I got some other books to read as well before going to Portugal.

Stacking The Shelves (7)

Hey Chroniclers! I almost forgot to put this up today! I've been sick for the past few days and my mind has been scattered really. Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by the amazing Tynga over at Tynga's Reviews where we share the books we bought or received during the week to show you guys new books or old books you might be interested in. Also, The Walking Dead returns back on TV and I'm so freaking excited for it! But let's get on with what I got!

This week I only got one book once again.

I bought Cold Fire by Tamora Pierce. It's Book 3 in The Circle Opens Quartet which is a sequel series to The Circle Closes Quartet. I am now just one book away from owning the quartet. As I told you in another posted where I bought the second book; I read the first book in the first quartet and the first two in the second when I was younger and loved them. Years later I decided to buy the books and read them again along with the other ones. This is seriously an amazing series. I love the characters, I love the magic, the writing, the setting. Just everything.

I didn't even buy this myself. My mom bought me after I made a joke that the gray hair I found on my head is from the stress my parents cause me. I then told her I had a 20% off coupon and I got the book for like 5 Bucks.

I was supposed to start my job on Monday but with the luck I have and some bullcrap, I didn't get to start and wasn't even called. I really want to do a giveaway for you guys. I mean I even have books here brand new that I could give to ya'll but the shipping is what I need money for. But hopefully I find something soon to bring you guys happiness.

Stacking The Shelves (6)

Hey Chroniclers! I am here on this blah Sunday to bring you the newest addition that will help me Stacking The Shelves! Before I continue though, can I just say that Saturday passed by in such a rush. I mean I looked at the clock and it was 2:00 PM and next thing I know it's already 10:00 PM. I literally did nothing but sit down on a chair and so many hours passed by. It felt so crazy and weird but it's a new day. Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by the wonderful Tynga over at Tynga's Reviews! Stacking The Shelves allows people to share the books they got during the week to help others find books they might be interested in.

This week I only got one book once again.

I bought Street Magic by Tamora Pierce. It's book 2 in The Circle Opens Quartet, which is a sequel series to The Circle Closes Quartet. I'm super excited to read this book even though I want to get the last two before I start this series. I read the first two of this series years ago along with the first book of the first series. Then recently I bought the first four and re-read the first one and read the next three and it felt good to go back to my childhood. I really can't wait for this one.

But this is all I got. Because I'm officially broke and have about $1 to my name, I'm not sure that I'll be buying anything anytime soon. Unless I see my friend who got me a B&N Gift Card for Christmas. =P
