Honesty Hour (10)

Hey Chroniclers! It is time to celebrate because while this isn't the last post, it is the last post I need to schedule! Also it is Thursday and Thursday brings along Honesty Hour! Honesty Hour is a weekly meme where unlike a review, it's more of a discussion full of spoilers and whatnot. Instead of just the story, I'll talk about certain things like characters, plot, setting, cover, author and whatever else I have to talk about. Now I warn you, the post might be full of spoilers to the novel. PROCEED WITH CAUTION! THERE MAY BE SPOILERS AFTER THE PICTURE!

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare!

Everyone knows what the novel is about. I've spoken about both the books and the author multiple times so I think I have to go straight ahead and just get on with what I want to talk about on this post. The ending. The book ends with Tessa marrying Will who grows old and passes away and finally Tessa is in our time and Jem, who became a silent brother, becomes normal again and she's able to end up with Jem.

What a stupid ending! It was such a mess! It had such a too perfect ending that it completely sucked. Tessa doesn't know what pain is and Clare gave her no reason to know! She literally made Tessa get with both boys in the end and it's just so stupid. I seriously thought the book ended very Twilight-ish. Everything ended with everyone getting their happy ending and it was just like, "I read this for it to end like that?" I wanted Jem to be a Silent Brother and have Tessa know she can never be with him and vice-versa. I wanted her to feel the pain of knowing that the other is alive but never being able to be with them.

And then there's no actual reason as to why Jem isn't a silent brother anymore so it's like seriously? We don't even get an explanation? As much as I like Cassandra Clare's books, the ending was just horrible and hopefully she learns but I don't think she will. At least not yet.

Monday's Novel Talk (67)

Hey Chroniclers! It's been a while since I did one of these so I have a bit to talk about. Today my site turns 3 and if you haven't, you should check out the giveaway post down below! 3 people will get to win a choice of their book! But onto the reading part!

Since last post I finally finished Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare and while I did like it I found the end to be too convenient for my taste but whatever. I've learned you can't have everything with books xD I can't wait for Cassandra Clare's future books which involve City of Heavenly Fire, The Dark Artifices Trilogy as well as the newly announced TLH set after The Infernal Devices and a mystery Trilogy set after The Dark Artifices. That'll make 18 Shadowhunter novels not including the novellas and such.

I then read Numbers by Rachel Ward and a lot of people didn't like it but I found myself drawn to it and really enjoy it. I think it's because of what happened with Boston that kind of mixed in with this book and I felt myself intrigued and such. I do plan on reading the other two books some day.

I also finished reading The Lost Code by Kevin Emerson and I thought it was going to be one way but I absolutely fell in love with the book. It was completely different than what I expected and I can't wait for the future novels to come out so I can read them and continue on in the adventure.

The book I'm currently reading now is The Forsaken by Lisa M. Stasse and I'm currently on page 16 of 375. I haven't exactly been reading much lately because I haven't been home and such but I do plan on finishing this book soon. So far it's getting interesting but I feel like it'll keep getting better.

Monday's Novel Talk (66)

Hey Chroniclers! So it's a late post as in a day late but I don't remember why I didn't post yesterday. I don't even remember what I did yesterday. O.O It's bad lol. But, only now have I gotten time to post this up. It's weird though, I feel really weird and I don't know why. I've been feeling like this for a while already and it sucks.

Since last week though, I'm still reading Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. I'm currently on page 315 of 568 and I have gotten to that one part that everyone knows and D= I don't know how to feel about it but it's just making my emotions play with me too much. I hope to finish it very soon but we'll see how it goes.

But that's it really, I haven't been reading much this past week but hopefully I will this week. What have you guys been reading though? Leave your comments down below!

Cast Them Away (5)

Hey Chroniclers! I am back with another edition of Cast Them Away, the meme where I choose an actress or actor to play a role of a character if a book were to become a movie. This week I'll be choosing an actress for a book I'm currently reading called Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. A while ago I heard news that they were working on Clockwork Angel script and I immediately began thinking on who would play Tessa. I keep hearing a lot of people say Nina Dobrev which I can see it happening but today I saw a picture that I absolutely loved.

Now the thing is, I really want to know who the cover model is but Cassandra Clare won't reveal her name. She looks like the perfect Tessa and it would be cool if her acting was great because she could be cast in the role. But, I don't see that happening so therefore I must choose an actress.

Now I don't think I need to tell you guys what Clockwork Princess is all about aside from the fact that it is the final book in The Infernal Devices Trilogy. It's a really good trilogy and the thing about Tessa's character is that her role would expand over to The Mortal Instruments movie as well. I'm not saying how but it's there. So we need an actress who can fit in different time periods.

The person that I have chosen is....

Emilia Clarke!

You may know her as Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen. Khaleesi and mother of the three dragons, from the show Game of Thrones. We all know how bad ass she is. But can she do Victorian?

I think she can! She has the look for it, for sure. The picture reminds me of Tessa on the cover and I think that her look will definitely fit in different time periods. Tessa in The Infernal Devices is a Shapeshifter who gets mixed up with Shadowhunters and basically joins the team to kick ass and fight crime. Kind of.

 She's very proper and very poised but can still wield a weapon without a problem. I'm actually very excited for this movie more than City of Bones and I can't exactly say why. I just can't wait to see who gets cast as who. They're currently working on the script so it still may be a while before the movie comes out. I say it'll be released around City of Glass or after.

Monday's Novel Talk (65)

Hey Chroniclers! It's Monday once again, and while Monday's are blah, I feel kind of good. I mean, aside from the constant sneezing and eyes watering, I still feel good. I don't know why though, I think the nice weather is getting to me. I read a bit during the week so let's get to that.

Since last week I finished reading Beautiful Redemption by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars / E for Exceeds Expectations. While I did enjoy it and like it a lot something felt a bit off towards the end. I feel like the world went too far from what it truly was but it was still a good book. I did enjoy the series as a whole and will be checking out any future books of the authors.

I also finished Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars / O for Outstanding. It made me feel like I did when I first read the ARC for the first book. I loved how there was a fight and how Nora went at it alone, without the help of Patch. I mostly enjoyed the fact that Patch wasn't anywhere near the final battle and thought it set a great example that female characters don't need no man to fight. I enjoyed a lot more than the second and third book and thought it was a great ending.

I'm currently reading Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare FINALLY! I keep hearing amazing things and I can't believe it's already the end for this trilogy. I hope that Cassandra Clare never stops writing Shadowhunter books. I also hope that she stays with the same cover artist so that all of the books match and look super amazing with their spines matching and looking awesome on a shelf. I'm currently on page 23 out of 568. I just started not long ago but it's already so good! I seem to enjoy these characters more than The Mortal Instruments characters in books 4 and 5.

Stacking The Shelves (12)

Hey Chroniclers! This week was such a good week in terms of books for me! I got so many books this week, more than I usually get and it's not even all of them. I have a few books coming in this coming week and then the week after some more. =O It feels like Christmas! Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by the amazing Tynga over at Tynga's Reviews where we share with you what we got the past week!

I got 8 books in total this week!

On Tuesday, I went to New York City with a friend to go to Barnes and Noble. It's 15 minutes away from where I live and since I have no car I'd rather take the train there and visit my second home, the city. We went there to buy Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare which I'll read in the month of April. But while I was there I couldn't leave with just one book so I bought The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness. Now I was content with these two books but I was showing my friend the leather bound editions of books from B&N and I turned to the side thinking it was there, which they weren't, but noticed that the hardcover copy of Les Misérables by Victor Hugo was only eight bucks. Cheaper with the membership so I HAD to get it which I did.

This week I also found out I won a giveaway over at Lindsay Cummings Blog and won a copy of Nobody by Jennifer Lynn Barnes which I received on Friday. I was shocked though that they also sent me a copy of Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes and even more shocked that it was signed! So thank you so much for that and everyone go check out Lindsay's blog! She's also an author =O

And I just recently got back from Barnes and Noble about an hour or so ago. While I was at the Barnes and Noble on Tuesday, I saw that they had Legend by Marie Lu with the new cover as a hardcover! And I didn't mind the cover change, had I not seen the new cover as hardcover so I had to go buy it today to match!

And while I was there today, I also got Prodigy by Marie Lu and decided to get The Ask and the Answer by Patrick Ness.

And thus, my Stacking The Shelves is concluded with eight freaking books. My TBR pile just shot straight up! Next week I should be receiving three books and then the following week another three. I feel like I'm getting books faster than I could read them. But I'll get to them soon!

Tuesday's Novel Spotlight (51)

Hey Chroniclers! It's Tuesday which means that books have been released into the world but the one that I'm most excited for today is a book that is the final in the trilogy! I'm talking about...

It is the third and final book in The Infernal Devices Trilogy and I'm currently on my way to NYC which is like 15 minutes away from here to go pick up my copy! I'm so excited for this book as you can tell by the countdown up above. I can't wait to see how it all ends!

Cover Reveal: Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

Hey everyone! So before I hit the gym Cassandra Clare was revealing her cover for Clockwork Princess the third book in The Infernal Devices Trilogy. By tweeting the hashtag #ClockworkPrincess pieces that were blocking the cover were taken away and little by little the cover was being revealed. As I came back from the gym it was finally revealed in it's full glory!

This cover it. I LOVE IT! I love the color of it, I love the girl on it the way she's dressed that book she is holding. I love everything about it! Cassandra Clare's books have some of the best covers I've seen (with the exception of City of Fallen Angels & City of Lost Souls) and her The Infernal Devices covers are simply amazing. The book is set to be released 19 March, 2013 so we still have a long way to go but I'll happily wait for it with no worries or rush.

But still in the meantime I will look at this beauty.
