The Novel's Court (7)

Hey Chroniclers! Today is Tuesday and more books have been released into the world. The Novel's Court is a weekly meme hosted by me where I put a debut novel through a trial to see whether it's Guilty (readable) or Not Guilty (non-readable). In this case we want them to be Guilty, so let's get on with it!

Within the Icon's reach, Dol, Ro, Tima, and Lucas discover that their uncontrollable emotions - which they've always thought to be their greatest weaknesses - may actually be their greatest strengths.

Time for Court!

The Story: I can't lie this sounds amazing and knowing the author it must be really freaking epic! It sounds like something I'd love, aside from the relationship, but I can get into it. 

The Cover: I also love the cover so much! The city with the light, the yellow on top of the blue. It just seems like there's a lot going on and you can't stop looking at it.

The Verdict: Guilty! I'm pretty sure this is already on my wishlist and if it's not then I should go add it now. I really do want to read this and might be getting it soon!

Monday's Novel Talk (65)

Hey Chroniclers! It's Monday once again, and while Monday's are blah, I feel kind of good. I mean, aside from the constant sneezing and eyes watering, I still feel good. I don't know why though, I think the nice weather is getting to me. I read a bit during the week so let's get to that.

Since last week I finished reading Beautiful Redemption by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars / E for Exceeds Expectations. While I did enjoy it and like it a lot something felt a bit off towards the end. I feel like the world went too far from what it truly was but it was still a good book. I did enjoy the series as a whole and will be checking out any future books of the authors.

I also finished Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars / O for Outstanding. It made me feel like I did when I first read the ARC for the first book. I loved how there was a fight and how Nora went at it alone, without the help of Patch. I mostly enjoyed the fact that Patch wasn't anywhere near the final battle and thought it set a great example that female characters don't need no man to fight. I enjoyed a lot more than the second and third book and thought it was a great ending.

I'm currently reading Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare FINALLY! I keep hearing amazing things and I can't believe it's already the end for this trilogy. I hope that Cassandra Clare never stops writing Shadowhunter books. I also hope that she stays with the same cover artist so that all of the books match and look super amazing with their spines matching and looking awesome on a shelf. I'm currently on page 23 out of 568. I just started not long ago but it's already so good! I seem to enjoy these characters more than The Mortal Instruments characters in books 4 and 5.

Monday's Novel Talk (64)

Hey Chroniclers! Back to another Monday and I'm just so tired the yawning is nonstop over here. First off just want to say that my thoughts go out for those at the Boston Marathon. There were explosions at the finish line and some people got injured. They're still trying to figure out what's going on but hopefully there are no deaths and very little injuries.

Now since last week I have finished reading Endlessly by Kiersten White and I gave it 3 out of 5 stars / A for Acceptable. I just, as much as I liked it, I didn't really care that it ended and that it was over. I feel like I should pick out my books to read a bit better from now on.

I'm currently reading Beautiful Redemption by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl. I'm currently on page 235 of 451 which is over half way done! I should be done with this either tomorrow or day after but we'll see how that goes. I'm enjoying it a lot and it feels great to read something amazing.

Stacking The Shelves (5)

Hola Chroniclers! I am here today on this beautiful Sunday with a new addition to Stacking The Shelves! Lately I've forgotten to say one special thing that I should have said every Sunday! Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by the wonderful and beautiful Tynga over at Tynga's Reviews! I can't believe I forgot to give credit where credit is due! But yes, I have given it and can now go on with showing you what I got.

I only got one books this week! D= Well, I got four books but here's the thing. HarperCollins Publishers sent me two packages. I got one package one day and I opened it so freaking excited and it turned out to be a Justin Bieber and One Direction book. The thing is, they previously sent me the same exact copies of these books which I gave away. So I was kind of bummed out. The next day I get another package. And I remember saying, if this is a One Direction book I'm shaving my head off. I opened the package and those five guys were just STARING at me. I didn't shave my head but I felt like crying. Again I was excited and then let down. I'm giving the three book away as well and hope to not receive them again!

Endlessly by Kiersten White I bought using a Barnes & Noble gift card along with Beautiful Redemption by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl. Except Endlessly was delayed and I just received it this week. I can't wait to finish the series as I think it's a light, entertaining read.

But that's really all I got. I'm not sure if I'll get books next week but I hope I do. But then again I hope not because I really would like my TBR Pile to go down not up.

Stacking The Shelves (4)

Hey Chroniclers! How's it going on this fine Sunday afternoon? I'm doing great and enjoying the end of the year! I also just finished my last book of the year and will have today and tomorrow to rest my mind before I tackle some big books starting the 1st! Anyway, last week I wasn't home and when I was it was already late, so I wasn't able to put up a post so I'll just do it today.

I got a couple of things from different places and here they are!

From author Andy Gavin, I received an ARC of Untimed (which is the book I finished at like 4AM) and some swag that is bookmarks. They're so amazing as well as this book!

I'm also quoted in the book from my review for his first novel!

From Random House Publishers I received an ARC of The Fire Chronicle by John Stephens. An ARC of The City of Ember Graphic Novel by Jeanne DuPrau, adapted by Dallas Middaugh and art by Niklas Asker. I also received a The Paladin Prophecy pin and a Every Day by David Levithan bookmark where on the back it has a check list for all of his books.

From Barnes & Noble, using a gift card I got for Christmas I ordered some books but only one has arrived thus far. Beautiful Redemption by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl! I am so FREAKING excited to read this book that I might cry. But I'll only be able to read it later on this year because I'm planning on reading the bigger adult books I have on my shelf. But I'll get to it soon!

Tuesday's Novel Spotlight (45)

Hello beautiful people! You all look very wonderful today, or at least your computers do. It's like you're glowing and it must be because of the books being released today! Which are some amazing finale books! And I just realized all three are the final books of the series!

Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick! I still haven't read Silence by Hush, Hush was the very first ARC that I have ever gotten so it'll be cool to finish a series that I've been since before the very beginning!

Beautiful Redemption by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl! I'm currently reading Beautiful Darkness so I have a while before I reach the end but I just want to own this book because the covers are amazing in person and I can't wait to see them all together in person.

The Crimson Crown by Cinda Williams Chima! Another series where I've been with it since the first book. I can't wait to see how it ends and I know it'll be crazy. Also, can't wait to see the covers together! 

I seriously need to get these books ASAP because it's making me crazy not owning them! Let me know in the comments which of these books you're waiting for or have already bought!

Monday's Novel Talk (51)

Hello everybody! Welcome to Monday, the worst day of the week. Blah!

Anywho, I've been reading a lot or so I think.

I'm currently on page 94 of Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl and it's getting good. I loved the first one and I can't wait for the movie so I'm excited to see how this one pans out.
