Monday's Novel Talk (64)

Hey Chroniclers! Back to another Monday and I'm just so tired the yawning is nonstop over here. First off just want to say that my thoughts go out for those at the Boston Marathon. There were explosions at the finish line and some people got injured. They're still trying to figure out what's going on but hopefully there are no deaths and very little injuries.

Now since last week I have finished reading Endlessly by Kiersten White and I gave it 3 out of 5 stars / A for Acceptable. I just, as much as I liked it, I didn't really care that it ended and that it was over. I feel like I should pick out my books to read a bit better from now on.

I'm currently reading Beautiful Redemption by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl. I'm currently on page 235 of 451 which is over half way done! I should be done with this either tomorrow or day after but we'll see how that goes. I'm enjoying it a lot and it feels great to read something amazing.

Monday's Novel Talk (63)

Hey Chroniclers! I'm finally posting again and on such a good time too! The weather is AMAZING today. It's warm, the sun is hot, and I keep hearing birds singing. Spring has finally arrived and everyone knows that you read better during the Spring.

It's been a while since I posted one of these so I've done a bit of reading since then.

I finished A Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin and it's seriously one of my favorite series. It ended with such a cliffhanger that I need to read the fourth book now, but I must wait! Season 3 of Game of Thrones started as well so I have something to quench my thirst for more. 5 out of 5 stars / O for Outstanding.

I finished reading Hidden by Sophie Jordan, the final book in the Firelight Trilogy and I was greatly disappointed. I gave it 2 out of 5 stars or a P for Poor. I think that the story of it all in general was lacking and could have all fit into one book. And for a series ending it lacked all the good things it should have given us.

I read Light by Michael Grant, the last book in the Gone series. I loved it so much and it was everything I asked for. I felt like one part was a bit sudden but overall it was literally everything I asked for. 5 out of 5 stars or a O for Outstanding.

I also finished The Rising by Kelley Armstrong the final book in The Darkness Rising Trilogy a companion trilogy to The Darkest Powers Trilogy. I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars / E for Exceeds Expectations because I felt that the ending could have been something different. She also said that she was done with that world for now but I feel like she should go back to it and give us what she promised.

I'm currently reading Endlessly by Kiersten White the third and final book in the Paranormalcy Trilogy. I'm only on Page 1 of 385 but I hope that if I read a lot today, I can finish it by tomorrow.

Stacking The Shelves (5)

Hola Chroniclers! I am here today on this beautiful Sunday with a new addition to Stacking The Shelves! Lately I've forgotten to say one special thing that I should have said every Sunday! Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by the wonderful and beautiful Tynga over at Tynga's Reviews! I can't believe I forgot to give credit where credit is due! But yes, I have given it and can now go on with showing you what I got.

I only got one books this week! D= Well, I got four books but here's the thing. HarperCollins Publishers sent me two packages. I got one package one day and I opened it so freaking excited and it turned out to be a Justin Bieber and One Direction book. The thing is, they previously sent me the same exact copies of these books which I gave away. So I was kind of bummed out. The next day I get another package. And I remember saying, if this is a One Direction book I'm shaving my head off. I opened the package and those five guys were just STARING at me. I didn't shave my head but I felt like crying. Again I was excited and then let down. I'm giving the three book away as well and hope to not receive them again!

Endlessly by Kiersten White I bought using a Barnes & Noble gift card along with Beautiful Redemption by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl. Except Endlessly was delayed and I just received it this week. I can't wait to finish the series as I think it's a light, entertaining read.

But that's really all I got. I'm not sure if I'll get books next week but I hope I do. But then again I hope not because I really would like my TBR Pile to go down not up.

Monday's Novel Talk (49)

Happy Monday Everyone!!!! I'm in such a good mood only because I don't work today and can do what I want! Like read all day! >.>

Since last Monday, April 23 I started and finished 4 books and started my 5th in the late hours of Sunday night. I did better than last week which is weird because I thought I read less books. Guess the days just dragged on for me.

Monday - Tuesday (23-24)
The Fault In Our Stars: Finally finished the book and I absolutely loved it. I think it's the one with the most potential to be made into a movie because it has all the things a person can want. There's the humor, yet the sadness, the badass moments and the aww moments of romance. One of his best books and I can not WAIT to see what John Green comes up with next!

Tuesday - Friday (24-27)
Lockdown: This book seriously took me the longest because of the feelings! ALL THE FEELINGS! The very beginning made me feel physically ill to the point that I had to put the book down and almost didn't read it. I think it was because of the way it was written that there didn't seem any hope for the characters and it was just so good that I hated it. But I got to the end and LOVED IT!

Friday - Sunday (27-29)
Solitary: The second book in the Escape from Furnace Series by Alexander Gordon Smith, this one I read a bit faster because I was kind of expecting some things already. I mean I know he won't escape until possibly the last book but when the main character was so close to escaping and I thought he was, I was so freaking excited it was like watching a movie. I hate it so much that I love it though but I'll need a break before reading book 3.

Sunday (29)
Every You, Every Me: I liked David Levithan's writing but only in some books. I am so glad that his independent novels are a lot better. This book was simply amazing and I could not put it down, hence how I finished it in the same day. I hope to see more novels like this from him though.

Sunday - * (29-*)
Paranormalcy: I started this book by Kiersten White around 10 PM and am currently on page 126 of 335. So far it's good, reminds me of Kelley Armstrong's YA novels which I love, so hopefully this one will go right up there as well.
