Twitter Picture Story

So Chas over at LLL Reviews asked me what the story behind my Twitter picture was well I'm bored so I might as well tell you. First off here's the picture.

July 27th. The year? 2009. Almost a year ago. Place, Den of Lions sports club. Event? My 18th birthday ;) heeeey. Anyway! So to point people in the picture out. The girl in the back is Daniela, the one in blue is Steven, the one in the wig is Nuno, and I'm the one being raped. Oh, by the way. This was supposed to be a surprise party but as always I found out and ended up planning it without my parents knowing. =D

We were going to have a stripper for my party. Yes, I said were. I was an 18 year old hormone raging man. I wanted my strippers!!!! But someone! at the friggen party had to be younger than 18. So she couldn't do it. Plus, I think she also said something about not having a pole. So anyway, we have no stripper, the party is a total bust. This is the part where no friends come in. 50+ people confirmed that they were coming. 50+! That place should've been JUMPING!

8 people went. FlUCKING 8! I was mad because that shows your true friends. Oh wait 9 sorry forgot about my friend who was being DJ. Well actually, 13. 4 couldn't make it but passed by for the cake. Yea, Veronica wasn't there either! But she was in Portugal so I forgave her.

Well anyway, the party is a total bust. We're playing beer pong and flip cup. And any other game we could think of. Oh no? We didn't drink alcohol? Never....

<<
>>

Anyway, my sister comes and gets Nuno and they leave so I'm all like wtf! Right? Just grabbing my friend and leaving. WRONG WITH YOU!?!?!

Anyway, half an hour later she comes back and there's no Nuno. So I'm like wtf did she do to him?! All of a sudden, this hot, banging chick walks in. High heels, tights, a sexy shirt, and the most luscious blonde hair I have ever seen. I'm all like oh crap!

Next thing I know, I'm being held down by my friends as in that picture while this friggen chick is giving me a lap dance and trying to rape me! On top of that, WEARING MY SISTERS CLOTHES! Talk about awkward.

So I kind of have to add a life lesson into this. Um it shall be, your true friends, at least some, will always have your back no matter the situation and how eccentric and crazy it is. For they are also eccentric and crazy.

Oh, and the reason we are wet is because it was raining and we just went outside because we're from JOISEY BABY! Yea, we were bored.

So yea, what I really learned from that is that I don't want anymore parties ever! Unless I invite the people I hang with now and it's nothing big. Therefore, I don't know what I'll be doing this year. I really don't -___-

So yes, that's my amazing story. Not. I have another post to put up so yea. =D

Don't drink unless you're 21!!!!! Damn kids...

Contest Update

PRESENTS:
A book of your choice, giveaway!

So a while ago, I started a contest where the winners will be able to choose a book of their choice if they win. It started out with two winners but I was able to add more winners.
Also, recently I haven't been posting as much as I was suppose to. I would sincerely like to apologize to you all. I forgot all about it as I was distracted by a girl which ended hurtfully, and pathetic friends. Well some pathetic friends. And I give you all my oath now that regardless who I'm with, who my friends are, I'll post up everyday. Unless I'm not here...

Anyway here's how the contest goes.

Become a follower to join the contest. After you have followed, fill out this FORM. Some of you might be getting confused.
Fill out your name, email, follower (if you were a follower before the first mention of this contest a month or so ago, you are an Old follower, if you joined after, you are a new one), links for promotion, link to your blog for sidebar, link to blog post, follow those blogs for extra entries, Total Entries. Count up your entries and then add one and write down. Now this is where people get confused. You don't count the entry as 1 entry and then add the Extra Entry for Totaling it up. The Extra Entry for Totaling it Up will count as the 1 entry. This is confusing, look at it, and you'll get it.

I've already caught people cheating and stuff, using multiple accounts. So funny that they got caught. But anyway, my next contests will be just one entry per person. So yea, fill out the entry!

Oh, and this contest was supposed to end by July 28th, but since I've been bad I'm extending it a bit longer. How does, August 15, 2010 sound? It's closer to the release dates of some books so you won't have to wait too long. Remember that the prize is any book of your choice. So join up and spread the word.

Also, I forgot but then remembered. The winners! Because I passed 125 followers there will be three winners. I'll add a forth if I reach 200 followers. Why did I do this instead of what I had before? Money problems. I'm going to have to pay for my college classes again. Getting my license finally, needing to buy books for class. Then a car. All this shnazz, so I amped up the followers. So please understand. Thank you!

Again, thank you all to my 130+ followers. I love you all. And special shout out to Veronica who is my wife and best friend. For helping me out in rough times. Had to mention that because I owe her much.

Author Spotlight (3) Top 5 Favorites - #3

So I'm kind of late with the Author Spotlight this week, didn't even give one last week but hey, sorry. World Cup is almost over. Argentina just got out. Yea, anyway!

So far, my Top 5 favorite authors are....

  1. ----
  2. ----
  3. ----
  4. Scott Westerfeld
  5. Cinda Williams Chima
Who's number 3? Let's find out!

Philip Pullman is an English author from Norwich, England born in October 19, 1946. He got married to Judith Speller in 1970 and began teaching children and writing school plays. But this is about him as an author, which off in 1972 with his first published work, The Haunted Storm.

There's a little information about him but here's what I think. I started reading work by Philip Pullman a few years ago. Or not... I remember it was my birthday and my sister hadn't bought me anything yet, and then it was September and she bought me the His Dark Material books when we went to Barnes and Noble. I turned 17 so that was 2008. And I had the books sitting on my shelf for a while because I was re-reading Harry Potter for the gagillionth time. And then I finished reading Deathly Hallows on New Years Eve and then started reading His Dark Material on January 1st.

Anyway, I had seen the movie first and was in love with it. I kept on watching it whenever I was in the mood for something amazing. And then I finally read the novels and I immediately fell in love. I have no idea what it is, but the way Pullman writes, the way he tells us the story and hands us the characters makes us feel like a part of us is missing when everything is over. The way that he gives us all of the knowledge and yet leaves questions for us to answer for ourselves.

I just love how the people's souls live outside of their bodies in a form of an animal that represents who they are.

Would I recommend him? HELL YES I WOULD!!!!! And I actually want to read his other works because he's that amazing. Each of his novels brought something new into the story that made it even more interesting.

Now people might be wondering because they've heard that it goes against the Church and stuff. Listen up people. In the story, His Dark Materials, the characters go against the church. THE NOVELS AND THE AUTHOR THEMSELVES DO NOT GO AGAINST THE CHURCH SO STOP BEING IGNORANT! It's a damn novel that is meant for entertainment and life lessons, stop taking everything so literal! If you do that then you would be against almost every single novel in existence.

Now to check out his other works, here's a list of his work.

Non-Series Books
  1. The Haunted Storm (1972)
  2. Galatea (1976)
  3. Count Karlstein (1982)
  4. How to be Cool (1987)
  5. Spring-Heeled Jack (1989)
  6. The Broken Bridge (1990)
  7. The White Mercedes (1992)
  8. The Wonderful Story of Aladdin and the Enchanted Lamp (1993)
  9. Clockwork, or All Wound Up (1995)
  10. The Firework-Maker's Daughter (1995)
  11. Mossycoat (1998)
  12. The Butterfly Tattoo (re-issue of The White Mercedes) (1998)
  13. I was a Rat! or The Scarlet Slippers (1999)
  14. Puss in Boots: The Adventures of That Most Enterprising Feline (2000)
  15. The Scarecrow and his Servant (2004)
  16. The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ (2010)
Sally Lockhart
  1. Thunderbolt's Waxwork (1994)
  2. The Gasfitter's Ball (1995)
His Dark Materials
  1. Lyra's Oxford (2003)
  2. Once Upon A Time In The North (2008)
  3. The Book of Dust (No Release Date)
Plays
  1. Frankenstein (1990)
  2. Sherlock Holmes and the Limehouse Horror (1992)
Non-fiction
  1. Ancient Civilisations (1978)
  2. Using the Oxford Junior Dictionary (1978)
Comics
  1. The Adventures of John Blake in The DFC
But yea, this author is just amazing. I can not wait to read more of his novels and his future novels. Please check him out or else!

I'm Depressed!

I know I'm a bit late but I just got out of my depression some what. So Tuesday was Portugal vs Spain in the World Cup. Portugal... well we lost against them 1 - 0. But that goal was not valid, it wasn't supposed to count. Bullcrap! But whatever, stupid FIFA people don't want to do anything about it to see if it was valid or not so Portugal is out. Spain won! Congratulations neighbor! You guys are our only neighbor. Be proud. Oh and let me not forget to add that Portugal was given a Red Card FOR NO REASON AT ALL! The Spain guy fell by himself and Ricardo Costa was granted a Red Card and then when every angle was checked, we saw that they didn't touch each other at all. That was some big bullcrap.

So since Portugal is out and Brazil is still in.... I'm actually hoping that Spain kicks Brazil's ass and takes them out in the finale! Because I do not want to hear them! Plus if Spain kicks Brazil out, Portuguese won't feel as bad... So let's go SPAIN!!!!! Show them how to play soccer! Just kick their ass please.

So to all my Spanish Followers, I'm rooting for you guys. Do this for both Spain and Portugal. Please! I'm begging you!

But since the World Cup for Portuguese are basically over, I really won't be watching much. And I apologize for talking about Soccer in my Blog about books. I'm a guy... We like sports... Women like athletes... It's a win win. But anyway, I'll probably watch the Brazil game and the Spain game. Rooting for Spain and yelling at Brazil.

So my final words, Spain, I really hate you for kicking us out but I'm rooting for you now. It's all up to you. No pressure. =D

Oh and I haven't read since Friday, horrible! I know! But I have no life this weekend. I know so sad. So I'll be catching up on my reading. I know I didn't do an In My Mailbox but I don't remember exactly what I got these past two weeks. And I didn't really get anything this week so I have to find something else to post on Sunday.

Oh and before I go, Special Shout-out to Veronica! She was so depressed when Portugal lost so I'm making her happy by letting you all know about her on my blog. Even though I've talked about her numerous times. Anyway I LOVE YOU VERONICA!

Yea... be jealous...
