Monday's Novel Talk (32)

Yo yo! What's up?! So it's Monday and I feel like crap. Not only am I sick but I have pink eye! I have no idea how I got it. All I know is that I woke up to feed the fishes, went back to sleep and woke up an hour later with pink eye. So I'm thinking it must've been the fish food or something.

Anyway, before I start, if you haven't noticed there are some tabish-like things up top. They used to be on the side over there -> where you could access reviews, author interviews, and stuff like that. They are now above where it'll be viewed easier and have this cool highlighted thing to them.

So, it's Monday! I've finished 3 books since last Monday and am currently on my 4th. The 3rd book and the one I'm reading now are what I want to talk about really. But let's see what I read first.

Matched by Ally Condie was the first I finished. I actually have a review which you can see by clicking here.
Fat Vampire by Adam Rex which was hilarious and possibly the only vampire novel that I really like.

And now for the other two. On the 20th which was yesterday at 3 in the morning I started reading The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong. Now I had previously read a book by her called Bitten which is an adult book and I wasn't to fond of it even though it was good. But this one was amazing! By 6:39 A.M. I was about 100 pages away from finishing the book and had to force myself to stop reading and go to sleep. I fell asleep and woke up after and I was sick and didn't read until night time. I finally finished and today I started the second one, The Awakening.

Both books are amazing. I'm super glad that Kelley Armstrong decided to write Young Adult novels because they are simply amazing. The first one was mainly about ghosts and stuff and how the main character was scared. And because I was reading it in the dead of night with no light, just my book light, and am terrified of ghosts, there were parts where I was like >.>
staring into the corners, ears straining to hear what the hell is making all those noises in my head.

The reason I was so jumpy is because believe it or not, my house is haunted. With the shaking of the rooms, to hand-prints on my ceiling, to statues of saints crying. You name it, I got it. And I have friends who can vouch that all these things are real. So reading ghost stories really scares the crap out of me. Lucky for me though, the sun was coming up as I decided to go to bed.

But the whole idea of the novel is one of the best I've read so far this year. I love the whole idea about the teenagers in the house, and how there's other people outside that are like them. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, go read the series! I'm currently on Chapter 6, page 42 of the second novel, but I'm already in love with it. Armstrong has a way of writing for young adults that makes it truly amazing.

Now I'm gonna go and get ready to watch some Season Finales today. Pretty Little Liars anyone? Skins US? Which by the way, I hate, but I'm hoping they make it good by having Tony get hit by the truck. If that doesn't happen, I'm going to fight someone.

Now before I go I have some links for you guys to click and do as it says. It's nothing hard. Just a twitter and facebook. =P So I'll see you all later eh?

I'm curious to read Fat Vampire. I've heard several people (including you) who've enjoyed it!
