Tuesday's Novel Spotlight (10)

Hello Ladies. And Gentlemen but there's like one of you (waves to Johnny) so it's mostly ladies. Actually -clears throat-

*Lights shine. Stage forms out. Chairs flip upright.*

Hello Ladies and welcome to another edition of "That Taken Dude", where you girls get the chance to see a guy who's taken and you can't have him. Mwuahaha. This is all for the purpose of mocking you. I kid. Or do I?

Today's contestant is a man. Obviously. He is a very nice man, might I add. Taken. So that sucks for you ladies. He goes by the name of Jonathan aka Johnny. Unfortunately he can't step out onto the stage because he's busy so we'll just talk about a book.

Lady #1: SCREW THE BOOK!

Oh, that's, wow.

Lady #2: WE WANT JOHNNY!
Lady #1: JOHNNY WE LOVE YOU!

Alright ladies! -puts them in a box- How about I show you another badass person, but from a book.

-silence-

What book you ask?

The Way of Shadows by Brent Weeks.

Ladies: Booooo.

I have this book standing on my to be read pile ever since I won it from a contest. And it's a pretty huge book for paperback and I'm really excited to read it.

Lady #2: That guy looks like Johnny! -melts-

Whatever you say. But anyway, yea the cover does look awesome and the dude looks really badass...

Lady #1: Not as badass as Johnny!

-glares- But characters aren't always about what they look like.

Ladies: Yes they are.

It's about who they are and what they become. So let's take a look at this character and his story.

-screen comes out-

Lady #3: Oh my God, is it pictures of Johnny?!

Sure, just
zippit!

-screen shows words-

For Durzo Blint, assassination is an art-and he is the city's most accomplished artist.

For Azoth, survival is precarious. Something you never take for granted. As a guild rat, he's grown up in the slums, and learned to judge people quickly - and to take risks. Risks like apprenticing himself to Durzo Blint.

But to be accepted, Azoth must turn his back on his old life and embrace a new identity and name. As Kylar Stern, he must learn to navigate the assassins' world of dangerous politics and strange magics - and cultivate a flair of death.

-screen goes up and the ladies wake up-

As you can see, it does sound interesting and I've never read anything about assassins. So I'm really hoping my first one will keep me interested.

Lady #1: Oh my God, just shut up and give us Johnny!

Listen! If you guys want Johnny I will tell you if you SHUT UP for like 5 minutes ok?!

-silence-

Perfect. As I was saying, I'm hoping that I can start this novel soon and I really want to buy the other books. The covers look awesome as well. If you guys have read it tell me what you thought down below in the comments, uh, I mean voice your opinions to me by speaking. Yea, that sounds right.

And now. I shall let you ladies have Johnny. He's backstage. Go get him.

-ladies get up and run towards backstage, taking everything in their process.-

Yea, that kind of hurt. But it's your problem now Johnny. =D

-see's a little two year old going after the ladies.-

Aww, she's so cute.

-pulls knife out of the diaper-

O.o

Lol guys should also read this since I'm guessing there's major killing involved and sneaking around. But I tried to play it to my advantage by targeting women since that's the majority of people in the bloguniverse.

But men should read it also haha.

And thanks for leaving your link Yiota. I'll check out your blog =D

@Spunkii details about setting and characters? details? YAY! This is the man who has read 8 and is on the 9th book of The Sword of Truth Series by Terry Goodkind. King of Kings of Details. Close to 1000 pages each book of pure details. Haha xD

I really hope it has some serious action! I'm kinda bored with the romance books lately!

And it has more details that Sword Of Truth? Not good. I didn't even manage to finish the first book. Damn!
Anyway..the whole thing sounds more interesting so you never know!
